The Truckers Wife

I am a devoted wife to a hardworking trucker, a role that has deeply shaped my understanding of resilience, sacrifice, and the power of faith. As a faith-driven servant leader, doctoral researcher, and advocate for health equity, I blend my personal experiences with my professional mission to promote community transformation.

Life on the road with my husband has taught me the challenges of distance, uncertainty, and the constant juggling of family, faith, and professional commitments. But it has also deepened my appreciation for the importance of a supportive, tight-knit community—one that uplifts families facing unique challenges, like the spouses and families of long-haul truckers.

Beyond my role as a wife, I am passionate about dismantling health inequities, food and medical deserts, and transportation barriers. I combine my academic research with practical, on-the-ground efforts to create resilient, thriving communities. Inspired by my personal experiences and the stories of others in similar circumstances, I focus on addressing these barriers that disproportionately affect underserved communities, including those whose lives are shaped by the trucking industry.

Through my platform, Leading for Change: Faith in Action, I share my journey of navigating both the complexities of being a trucker's wife and the drive for social justice. This space is where I can empower fellow changemakers, community builders, and believers to make bold, faith-led decisions that inspire lasting impact.
